emperors new clothes   “OZ” journals came about when our daughter, Bar, was re-reading ”The Wizard of OZ”. It was my gift to her as she took a new path as a ballerina at “Thelma Yellin” High School of the Arts in Israel. In Hebrew OZ means courage, glory, heroism, valour and strength. Bar has demonstrated all that (said her objective mother...), was sent to study in US and now is taking part in a TV drama about ballet.

It is a “one-of-a-kind” button-charm series. Each journal has the yellow-brick road, the path that Dorothy is instructed to follow from Munchkin Country to the Emerald City in order to seek the aid of the Wizard of Oz.  

“DOROTHY” – One can see Toto, the Silver Shoes the Wicked Witch of the East had been wearing when she was killed. The kiss Dorothy got on the forehead from The Good Witch of the North stating that no one will harm a person who has been kissed by her.

          

"THE SCARECROW" wants to get a brain 
(Computer, pencils, sharpener, school bus)

“THE TIN MAN” wants to get a heart (red heart).

  

"THE  COWARDLY LION” wants to get  courage (Purple Heart).

"EMERALD CITY" - When they arrive at the Emerald City, they must wear special spectacles to keep the brilliance of the Emerald City from blinding them; wearing them, everything appears in different shades of green.
