While fishing a fisherman smells a wonderful fragrant perfume in the air. He puts down his rod and searches for the source of this aroma. In his search he discovers a beautiful sparkling veil hanging from a tree so he climbs the tree to claim it. On the way home he realizes what a treasure he has as the veil has magical qualities.

When fishing the next day he returns to the place where he found the scarf and find a young girl standing behind the tree. "Kind Sir" she pleads, the veil is mine". The veil belongs to a heavenly nymph, please give it to me."

The fisherman tells the nymph that the veil is precious and he would be foolish to give it to her. She explains that she can't return to her sisters without it so he agrees to return it if she dances for her. He is afraid that she will take the veil and disappear but she assures him that nymphs don't lie. He returns the veil and she begins to dance and the air if filled with the essence of the beautiful flowers that shower down from above. As she dances she slowly beings to rise into the air and soon she disappears in the mist that surrounds the slopes of Mt. Fujiama.
The fisherman returns to his fishing feeling very at peace with himself and feels he is walking from a dream.
