Once there was a girl named Clara who receives a Nutcracker doll for her
Christmas present. She loves the Nutcracker doll and takes it to with her to bed that night. She dreams of the Nutcracker doll defending her from the Evil Mouse King. Clara helps the Nutcracker win, by hitting the mouse king on the head with her shoe.
